As the air particles pass through the wire, they become charged and are attracted to the stainless steel collection plates.

The filter captures particles smaller than 0.3 microns since it uses a strong static field and fights odors without the need for extra filters. Not only do Lasko’s Electrostatic Air Purifiers create no ozone, they also remove any harmful background ozone in the air. The filter delivers permanent effectiveness and customers do not need to purchase replacement filters. The permanent filter can be easily washed clean with soap and water.
