The air purifier fits easily on wall. It makes some noise, just a low hum. I was very impressed after my husband cooked bacon and the smoke raised the number on the purifier to an unhealthy level. Ran the attic fan to pull out bacon smoke and purifier reading changed immediately. I like having a product that helps me really gauge the quality of air my family is breathing.

I’ve been searching for a wall mounted unit for my kids’ bedroom that would do five air changes per hour, and this fit the bill for their space. The only problem is that the cord is a measly 52″ long (maybe 54″ by the time I work the kinks out) which basically puts the unit in the middle of my wall. I’m going to have to rethink placement because it’s going to have to go RIGHT above an outlet. I have no complaints about the function or the noise of the unit; I’m just annoyed that for a unit that advertised itself as wall mounted, the cord is too short to really be useful.

Now that everything is blooming and it’s warm enough to open windows, I’m enjoying using this in my office to clean the pollen out of the air so I’m not constantly sneezing. What I really look forward to, though, is wildfire SMOKE season in the Puget Sound (Seattle) area, where wildfires have become their own reliable season. If the smoke is mild, opening windows and using this is enough to make a room still livable. In severe smoke, we close the windows and use the whole-house heat pump.When allergies get super bad, we use this in our bedroom at night to keep us both breathing comfortably. Since we like to have a fan on for white noise while we sleep, we’re not put off by the noise and appreciate the ability to turn off the lights for sleep mode.

Let me start with a confession: When I first tried this air purifier, I was very disappointed by how noisy it was, especially at the highest speed. A few other reviewers noted that as well, and I recorded a video to capture the sound. But before posting it, I decided to check if something was loose inside. THE HEPA FILTER WAS WRAPPED IN PLASTIC. It makes sense to do that, but the instructions did not mention that step. Once the plastic was removed, the air purifiers has worked like a charm.Since then, I have been very impressed with the NEWPAD air purifier. We are using it in a guest suite that it only used occasionally, and the improvement in air quality is noticeable (both for dust and pollen). The device constantly monitors the air for air quality, which you can see on the LED display and on the option app. I use the automatic setting that adjusts the fan speed to the measured air quality. The noise level is very good (after I removed the plastic). We have placed it on the floor for now, but will likely use the wall mount for a permanent installation.This is a smart device that you can control with their app, and can connect with Alexa, Google and SmartThings.My one complaint–and the reason I drops a star in the rating– is the poor quality of the instructions. The product description on the Amazon page provides much more information, and i encourage people to consult it as well, and perhaps print it off for the filter replacement reference.
